This Instagram feature lets parents supervise on their kids, allowing the kids to use the platform and also have a watchful eye on them. Supervision on Instagram is for teens under the age of 18 who need supervision while using the platform. Teens can allow a parent or guardian to supervise their Instagram account, providing them extra support and also help balance their time
Parents or teens can remove supervision anytime, or later it is automatically removed when the teen turns 18. The Supervision feature provides a set of tools and resources designed to help parents and guardians keep their teens safe on the platform.
Supervision can be accessed by going to settings in the user’s Instagram profile. Supervision includes features like:
- Safety Tips: Instagram provides tips and resources to help parents and guardians understand how to keep their teens safe on the platform.
- Comment Controls: Parents and guardians can use the Comment Controls feature to set limits on who can comment on their teen’s posts and what types of comments are allowed.
- Appoint a Guardian: Parents and guardians can appoint another adult to manage their teen’s account, such as a grandparent or an older sibling.
- Screen Time Management: The Screen Time Management feature allows parents and guardians to set limits on how much time their teens can spend on Instagram each day.
- Request Data: Parents and guardians can use the Request Data feature to request a copy of their teen’s data from Instagram, including information about their account and activity on the platform.
- Manage Connections: The Manage Connections feature allows parents and guardians to see who their teen is following and who is following them, and to block or unblock users as needed.
Upload high quality reels
Nowadays everyone makes reels on Instagram. Content creators usually make at least 10 reels on a daily basis. Reels feature lets you create and share short length videos. Reels offer dozens of creative features like adding music, effects, text, stickers, trimming, cutting, adjusting speed and style of video and many more.
Reel making has become so much competitive nowadays. Thousands of users upload Millions of reels everyday and for every creator to keep up with the content of every other creator, making the best version of their reels matter a lot.
One such aspect of reels making is uploading reels in high quality. How much a reel is appreciated among audience comes down to the fact of how good the quality of the reel is. So a high quality reel matters.
This Instagram feature allows you to upload your reels in the highest quality possible. Simply go to “Advanced Settings” while uploading a reel and locate and select the “upload in highest quality” option. This lets you upload reels in their highest quality. When switched off again, it will adjust the video upload quality to fit the network conditions.
Mute stories and posts without people knowing
Instagram stories are short posts that disappear 24 hours after posting. Stories are a quick and easy way to show your presence on Instagram and to check on your friends and family. But sometimes it becomes annoying if you keep seeing a particular person’s stories and posts.
The Mute Instagram feature allows you to mute a specific person’s post or stories. You will keep following the person but remove their stories and posts without the person knowing about it.
Follow the given steps to mute someone:
- Go to the user’s profile page.
- Click on the “Following” tab, a popup window will appear.
- Click on the “mute” option. Choose what you want to mute- stories, posts or both.
